- Takes “3D” X-rays of the mouth
- Used for diagnosis of root fractures, lesions
- To better visualize impacted teeth
- To asses available bone volume for implants
2. Perio Examinations
- For diagnosis of gum disease (in their different stages)
- For diagnosis of TMJ issues
- For diagnosis of suitability of implant placement
3. Cleanings
- Regular cleanings as part of an ongoing regimen for those who don’t have a general dentist
- Regular cleanings on an alternative schedule with the general dentist
- “Deep” cleanings as a “conservative therapy” to initially treat early stage of gum disease
- As part of a periodontal treatment plan
4. Surgery
- To treat periodontal disease (clean up infection to stop the disease precession)
- To enhance aesthetic “gum lift” for a gummy smile
- To regrow bone around teeth or implants
- To regrow gums on teeth that have recession
- To remove broken/infected teeth and to regrow the lost/destroyed bone
5. Implants
- Exam/Consultation/Panning
